A local swimming club raised over $2,000 for the Greater Spokane County Meals on Wheels last month. The Liberty Lake Seamonkeys, a group of 59 swimmers from ages 7 to 17 swam a mile each to raise $2,250.
A mile is measured by about 72 laps at the Liberty Lake Athletic Club.
